AM-2233 is a very potent full cannabinoid receptor agonist. As the active enantiomer (R), the Ki in CB1 is 1.8 nM and the Ki in CB2 is 2.2 nM. It was developed as a selective radioligand for cannabinoids and has been used as its derivative 131I to map the distribution of CB1 receptors in the brain.
